The Two Towers Essay, Research Paper The Two Towers THE LORD OF THE RINGS Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,One for the Dark Lord on his dark throneIn the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie.One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind themIn the Land of Mordor where the shadows lie. 1. Frodo, the main character of this book, is a Hobbit. Hobbits are a small folk thatlove paece and quite and also a garden. Frodo, although he is a Hobbit, is different. Helongs for adventure and excitement, and the day Gandalf came he got it. Frodo is anunusually large Hobbit, raeching 4 foot 5 inches, and is not as fat as most of his kind. Inthis book Frodo is the ring bearer, which means he must take the responsibility of holdingit and to bring it to mount doom. 2. The major conflict in this book is between Frodo, Samwise, and Gollum, againstSauron the Great or the Dark Lord. There is a conflict here because Frodo has the OneRing and Sauron wants it. There is a conflict between Sauron, Samwise, and Gollumbecause Samwise and Gollum are Frodo s companions. There is also s conflict betweenthe good side of Gollum, Smeagol, and the bad side of Gollum, Stinker. There is aconflict here because Smeagol wants to help Frodo destroy the ring and Stinker wants totake the ring from Frodo. 3. My favorite part of this book is when Frodo, Samwise, and Gollum are attacked bythe gardian of Mordor, where Sauron lives, Shelob. Shelob is a giant spider and is friendswith Stinker. Here the bad side of Gollum wins against the good side and Gollum attacksSamwise while Shelob attacks Frodo. Then Samwise injurs Gollum and then tries to helpFrodo only to discover Shelob has taken him away.
