Recongizing A Liar Essay Research Paper

Eng 101-032 25, October 1999 Recognizing a Liar Over the years, I have been exposed to many varieties of liars. From this exposure I have acquired the talent of recognizing the characteristics of a liar. I have managed to separate them in three different categories; the talkers, dancers, and the artists. There is, first, the talkers who when lying tend to stutter or repeat the initial question. Second, there is the dancer who shuffles or fidgets their legs or feet while lying. Third we have the artist, who s best known for their arm movement, biting of the nails, twiddling of the fingers, flailing of the arms. Of the three categories, the talkers, is the most popular characteristics of a liar. While lying these people stutter over words, and will repeat a question asked while thinking of the answer to give, in hopes you will believe the words stammering out of their mouths. Whereas the dancer shuffles there feet back and forth or fidgets by tapping or shaking their leg out of nervousness aware of the fact that they re lying. The artist known for their graceful arm movements, bite their nails to the flesh, twiddling and tap their fingers, while crossing or swaying their arms. As you can see the liar is a very diverse character, through their artistic dance they tell a story (lie). Recognizing a liar can prove to be a difficult task, but if you can remember the three distinctive patterns of a typical liar then you have an edge.
