Morals Essay, Research Paper Everybody has grown up around some extant morals, whether it is within their own household or it is taught to them at some other place, like school for instance. For decades now, there has been a gargantuan controversy over whether or not teachers should teach morals to students. Schools and teachers should not teach morals to their students for a number of reasons. Some of the reasons that schools and teachers should not teach the morals to kids because that is the right of the parents, everyone should learn morals for themselves, and because there really are no correct morals, just some that can be agreed on by mostly everyone. The main reason that teachers should not teach morals to their students is because that should be a task by the parent of the child. Parents should play a major role in a child s life by teaching their children good, strong, rudiment morals. Teachers should not interfere with the teaching of morals to any kids because there should be a strong bond between parents and their kids that teachers should not get involved in. Another reason that schools should not teach morals to students is because morals can not really be taught to anyone. A moral is something that people decide to make as a personal belief for themselves. Although, a moral can be introduced to a person, but the person should cull his or her own personal morals because everyone is different. People can not be told what to believe in; they should adapt their own morals throughout their lifetime. A third reason why schools should not teach morals to students is because there is no such thing as a correct moral. A person s personal morals mainly depend on that person. There are no uniform morals that apply to everyone on account that everyone is different and everyone has their own opinions and morals based upon their own personal beliefs. These are just some of the reasons that schools should not teach morals to students. Schools and the teachers mainly should just introduce a wide variety of morals to the students and let them make the decisions on what should and should not be their own morals by themselves. A person s morals should be considered strictly extramural.
