Instead rights came as a result of physical ability or intelligence. Singer depends on self-awareness Singer?s 28-day grace period for killing babies Nazis 3 year grace period to kill and then later extend to teenagers Singer and the Nazis both came to the conclusion that babies, with or with out disabilities, are not productive. They are not able to talk or think logically to defend themselves against an aggressor. Both Hitler and Singer started off by trying to eliminate babies with severe disabilities because of their cost to society. They are not productive, but more of a hindrance to society. Babies with severe disabilities deserve the chance to live. Even though they will not lead a ?normal? life does not mean that they have to be killed. They are just like anyone else, but a little less fortunate. Many people today have small disabilities that affect almost anything from the way they learn to not being able to see.
