The Rest Of The Story Essay Research

Paper Car magazines like Car and Driver and Motor Trend both share the same interest in providing the consumer with information on new automobiles. Both Car and Driver and Motor Trend are monthly magazines. They both have professionals that test high performance cars and trucks on comfort, ability, engine, and overall capabilities. Both magazines work on giving the consumer a good look at how a car or truck will perform out on the job or traveling. Car and Driver as well as Motor Trend appeal to both genders, both have experts that give opinions on automobiles that are tested, and both of them focus on high performance. First, both Car and Driver and Motor Trend appeal to both genders. One issue of Car and Driver features a test on the new Dodge Caravan. The article on safety in front and rear collisions. It explains that the caravan would be a perfect automobile for the married with children. On the other hand Motor Trend does a test on the new Ford Expedition. It gives this SUV a good score for the people that are into travel because of the outstanding comfort on long trips. Both have a way of classifying an automobile as a male or female type of car or truck. These features give both genders a good look into what automobile would best serve people who are single, married with children, or just married and want to travel. Next, both Car and Driver and Motor Trend have experts that give opinions on automobiles that are tested. These experts drive the automobiles in a way that a consumer would drive them, as well as test them for overall safety. In an issue of Motor Trend one expert gives a very poor rating to the Nissan Altama for an engine design that doesn t give adequate power for everyday driving. But another gives it an average yet economical rating. Car and Driver gave the Altama a good rating for a family sedan. When it comes to cars not many people agree with the experts, but prefer to go by what the experts say. Next, both Car and Driver and Motor Trend high performance. In the last September issue Car and Driver does an article on the Plymouth Prowler. The experts give this car the most appealing car of the year award. I feel that this car is one that will not soon be forgotten. Although Motor Trend experts say that the Plymouth Prowler with its aluminum small block 253hp V6 won t compete with the competitors V8 s. Both of these magazines did an article on the all-new 500hp 2003 Dodge Viper. Both of the magazines experts give this car a high rating because of its up-to-date-interior and its digital gauge readouts. Not to mention its stylish new look. Even though Car and Driver as well as Motor Trend appeal to both genders, both have experts that give opinions on automobiles that are tested, and both of them focus on high performance. I personally think that the two magazines could bring themselves together to make one really good magazine.
